First Give Champions Programme Now Open!

First Give is delighted to announce that First Give Champions, a new pilot Youth Voice programme for First Give alumni, is now open.

The Champions programme has been created to strengthen young people’s voices across First Give, while giving alumni the opportunity to build on the skills and confidence they developed during their original First Give experience. Through the pilot, Champions will support current student cohorts, practice high‑quality story‑telling, and help shape the future of youth voice at First Give.

Schools that took part in First Give during 2024–25 or Autumn 2025 are invited to get involved by putting forward one to four students to become First Give Champions.

Students taking part in the programme will benefit from:

  • Access to online learning workshops, introducing evaluation methods and how to identify and write a strong impact story
  • Opportunities to develop communication and leadership skills while engaging with a current First Give cohort
  • A Champions Competition, recognising excellent youth‑led story‑telling
  • A Champions Celebration and certificate
  • The chance to join a growing Champions Network, contributing to youth voice strategy and programme development from 2026–27 onwards

How teachers can get involved

Teachers who know students that loved taking part in First Give and would like to continue their journey can email youthvoice@firstgive.co.uk to register their interest or to request more information.

We encourage teachers to get involved early and help us pilot this exciting new programme, placing young people’s voices at the heart of First Give’s future.
