Our Programme

We believe in the impact that students can bring to their communities. That belief has guided our mission since 2014. Today, we’re still just as dedicated to empowering students to take social action – and we do it with our curriculum-linked programme.

The First Give programme has been designed, shaped and scoped by teachers, for teachers.

We've done all the planning, design, and curriculum-linked lesson planning - so our partner schools don't have to. All that our teachers in First Give partner schools need to do is find the best curriculum time to deliver the programme.

  • Four facilitated sessions.
The Programme includes a facilitated Class Teacher Training, Launch Assembly, Presentation Skills Workshop and your First Give Final

  • Fully resourced.
Our programme is ready for you to deliver, with high quality resources including all Student Coursebooks, lesson plans, PowerPoints and our online ‘Teacher Hub’

  • Full support from First Give.
Our Programmes Team are there to support with the planning, logistics and quality assurance of the programme

How Students Support Charities

First Give supports students to learn about social issues in their community. Through the programme students identify local social issues that they care about and learn about how charities support them. Students complete meaningful social action in support of their charity or their charity’s cause. In addition, students learn the impact and value of winning a £1,000 donation for their chosen charity.
