Stand out social action from 2022/2023!
First Give is a social action programme which runs in secondary schools throughout England and Wales. Students across a year group will choose a local charity to support, carry out social action in support of that charity and then create presentations to detail the work of their charity and the social action they carried out, ultimately competing to win a £1000 grant for their chosen charity. John F Kennedy School ran First Give for the first time and had an exceptionally successful programme! The students were fully engaged in social action, and the teachers saw real improvement in the behaviors of students that usually had struggled with school engagement. Additionally, their Final had a wonderful judging panel and attendance of charity representatives in the audience. We are looking forward to a longstanding partnership with JFK and can’t wait to see what the students come up with next year!

Parliament Hill Students Complete Meaningful Social Action In Camden
Students at Parliament Hill had a positive impact on their school and the wider community during their First Give programme in Spring 2022. Young people in Camden are clearly passionate about social change and tackling issues affecting their local community. First Give cannot wait to grow its partnerships across the borough of Camden to empower more young people; igniting a spark of social conscience!
